OKLAHOMA TRAIL AID
A BENEFIT FOR OKLAHOMA TRAILS

Thank you Carl Wayne for your tireless efforts
and all of the sponsors who made this event
a great sucess! We look forward to next year!

What It Is

Oklahoma Trail Aid is an an annual event to help the Oklahoma Earthbike Fellowship maintain one of Oklahoma's greatest hidden secrets;  biking, hiking & wilderness trails throughout the state of Oklahoma.  The OEF is a non profit (501c3) organization dedicated to the enhancement of off-road cycling through trail advocacy, maintenance, and cooperation with land managers , owners, & users.

As you know, 2007 was record breaking in terms of the damaging ice storms. Tha trails suffered extensive damage which was addressed last year by over 2000 man hours of volunteer labor just  at Lake Stanley Draper. Last years first annual Oklahoma Trail Aid was a great sucess. The event raised $5000.00, which funds were used to improve trails by adding new trail signage at Draper to make the trails easier to navigate. A new drainage system was put in place to help the trails recover faster from rainfall. The addition of a new skills area was also a result of the funding with the balance being applied towards  the upkeep of tools and equipment used in trail maintenance and to purchase food and drink for volunteer trail workers.
