Hey Kids, are you ready for the next Kids Kup race? The next race will be at the Red Dirt Rendezvous, Stanley Draper Mountain Bike Park, OKC, OK. The racing will begin at 8:30 am on Sunday morning, June 8, 2008. Unfortunately there will not be a race for the kids with training wheels, just those able to ride in the dirt. The kids course will be similar to last year, with the direction being reversed.
Remember to bring your number plates if you've been issued a laminated number plate, that will be your number for the whole season. We'll have prized and givaways for all the kids, come on out and join us for a great time!

The 2008 Team NRC/Kona Kids Kup Series will kick off March 30, 2008 at Turkey Mountain, in Tulsa. The course will be a challenging but fun course for the kids. Registration will take place at the Team NRC/Pedalmasher team tents. There will be a mandatory Kids Kup racers meeting 30 minutes prior to the start of the Kids Kup race. As of right now, the planned start time for the Kids Kup is 8:30 am on March 30. Make sure the kids are dressed appropriately for the weather conditions.
For 2008 there will be eight events again, see the schedule above. At three of those events we will offer a 4th class of racers, those on training wheels. The events that will offer a separate division for training wheels will be: Red River Shootout, McMurtry Madness, and The Sooner Stampede. So the 4 division will be Age 10-12, Age 7-9, Age 4-6 and Training Wheels.
2007 was our inaugural year, and it was a good one. Word spread of the series and it continued to grow throughout the year. I look for 2008 to be an amazing year for the Kids Kup. We had over 60 kids who raced in the various events, and 23 of those kids came back to race in more than one event. I look for those numbers to grow going into the new season.
