DISTANCE
16-18 miles for the whole trail.
****
DIFFICULTY
South loop easier, North loop primitive and more difficult with technical sections (very rocky in spots). Epic ride if you do the whole thing.
****
RIDE TYPE
Single track all the way. South loop is well established, North loop very primitive. Rocky. Numerous climbs and demanding downhill sections. Very scenic with views of the lake on the lake side trail, interesting rock formations on the ridge trail. This whole trail is designed by hikers but it's open for us mountain bikers. Keep that in mind...

WHEN TO RIDE

Check out the trail flier for an overview. This trail has been constructed and maintained by the Oklahoma
Ankle Express (and the Greenleaf trail man). They keep the trail clean and usable. Be nice; stop for hikers,
start a conversation and leave a positive impression. Please do not litter - carry out what you carry in!
If you plan to ride the entire trail come prepared. This is a long & technical ride. Bring a camelbak, lunch and lots of water. Get off the bike if you're not comfortable with technical sections. If you get hurt it could take a while before someone finds you...
Some ride pics from Nov 2004 and
Mar 2001.
Stay in one of the
Greenleaf State Park cabins
for the weekend.
