2004-2006 - More trail cut, it's now around 15 miles?
12/02/02 - The BLN has made some more changes to the trail system and the total lap
distance is now 10.5 miles...
The Clearbay trail is one of the best in the Metro area. In 2001 the
Bicycle League of Norman and the
OEF teamed up and reworked the trails at Clearbay. New sections have been cut and tied into
the old trail and some older (badly rutted) sections have been closed. The new loop is currently
being maintained and further developed by the BLN. The 10 mile trail offers something for all
types of riders. 99% singletrack with over 900ft of elevation change! Expect extended climbs and
fast downhills, some twisty stuff and a few big drops and even some rocks.
Be VERY aware of the poison ivy. Expect sand in the Summer months. This trail will zap you when it's
hot, bring plenty of water!
For more on this trail visit the BLN website.
