KORS/OEF Workday @ Keystone 06/19/04Report by Raton Parmain (KORS) Wow, I'm always amazed by what a dedicated group of people can do. We had about 16 folks out for part of the day and 10 that worked for the whole day. A huge thanks to everyone who came out, even if it was for only a couple of hours because we were able to get a lot accomplished in spite of the fact that it started raining at 10am and quit about the same time we did. Charles, Marcel & myself rode the trail on Friday and it was pretty overgrown. Lots of tall grass and limbs & whatnot hanging down in the trail and one tree down in the trail. On Saturday, we were able to weedeat the entire intermediate and expert loops and clear limbs an debris from the entire loop. The trails should be in great shape for the race next weekend and (if this rain will ever stop) should be in good shape for the rest of the summer. Thanks to all the OKC folks who made the drive. I'm sorry you had to leave w/o getting a chance to ride. Thanks to Shane Jones & OEF for providing the weedeaters, tools and schwag. We had a great KORS member turnout too! Thanks Sammy & Chris for bringing out your weedeaters. We got some more rain this am, so Keystone will probably be muddy until after Monday.
