The following is a listing of additions to the points system added this year.

12 Miles of Hell

This the tour prologue. Racers will receive 10 bonus Tour points to start and 10 bonus Tour points to finish (20 points possible for starting and finishing, 10 points for starting and not finishing). These points will be added to the overall series points at the end of the season, when we know who particpated in the actual TDD races.

Pay Dirt Program

Racers will receive 1/2 First Place points for 8 hours of official trail work performed before October 31st. Example: Mr. Sport Class racer puts in his time on the trail. Mr. Sport Class racer gets 30 points.
Conditions:
  1. The trail work is performed on one of the trails on the Tour Schedule.
  2. The work is reported to the Race Director for that particular trail using this FORM.
  3. This is an HONOR SYSTEM. That means you are ON YOUR HONOR. Cheat at this and you are a loser.

NORBA

The Tour will be NORBA registered again this year. All NORBA rules will apply. Racers are EXPECTED to follow them, especially in regards to "catting" up to higher categories. Points will be awarded in each class following the NORBA Points System, winners in each racing category will be determined by their best seven (7) finishes. Prizes will be awarded to the top five (5) finishers in each racing category. All the Tour de Dirt 2000 rules can be found here.

Miscellaneous Stuff

The Tour de Dirt is the "Official NORBA State Championship Series". The Tour de Dirt works with bicycle clubs, organizations and event promoters to assist the overall coordination of the state racing series. It assumes no liability for any individual event or the results thereof.
Please take the time to thank the race directors and volunteers when you race their events. Same with the series Sponsors! It is because of them that we have this series.
